Sodium Bicarbonate
Sodium Bicarbonate also known as Sodium Bicarb or baking soda is a well known ingredient that is a white solid that is crystalline but often appears as a fine powder. It is a component of the mineral natron and is found dissolved in many mineral springs.
It's an amazing Eczema reliever and helps whiten the teeth. Acne suffers rejoice it can also be used as a topical treatment for acne.
Citric Acid
Citric Acid is a weak organic acid and is a natural preservative. You can find Citric Acid in many citrus fruits. It can also be used as an antioxidant and a lubricant. A naturally-occurring Alpha Hydroxy Acid derived from the fermented sugars of citrus fruits. Helps speed up cell turnover/cell renewal. The best part of Citric Acid that we love is that it is natural and healing. A great benefit of citric acid is that it has the ability to chelate metals meaning it will pull out the heavy metals such as copper, lead and zinc from the water and from your skin. It's a process called "Chelation" it makes the water soft and your skin supple.
When Citric Acid is mixed with Sodium Bicarbonate, they make an amazing fizzy of bubbles when tossed into the bath.
Sodium lauryl sulfoacetate
Derived from coconut and palm oils; a safe, skin-friendly surfactant (foaming agent) for both skin and hair. This mild plant derived surfactant creates a rich, luxurious lather that effectively removes surface oil, dirt and bacteria, without stripping or drying sensitive skin. Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate is also hydrophilic. This means it is attracted to water, which enables it to dissolve more readily in water, thus providing superior rinseablility.
